XDDhub Reloaded: From Teen Coder to Family Creator
·

When HTML Met Crypto: My 2003 Web Adventure
My first attempt at website building dates back to 2003, when I was a 14-year-old middle school student. That summer vacation was spent entirely crafting “OE Personal Platform” – writing HTML by hand where I could, and relying on Microsoft FrontPage (with its quirky drag-and-drop interface) when coding got too tricky. The name was inspired by a beautiful independent site called “Personal Art Platform” that I admired, while “OE” came from my English name Owen. Ironically, “OE”(short for OKEX) has since become the name of the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange. Talk about unintended legacy!

From Teenage Coder to Family Creator: Why I’m Reloading My Passion
Today, I’m reigniting that teenage spark. At 14, I devoured tech books from physical bookstores, lived in online forums, and marveled at early blogs. Now 35, I navigate between career responsibilities and family life – blessed with a loving wife and young son. But those adolescent dreams of creating something meaningful in the digital realm never truly faded. This site is my digital homestead – part nostalgia trip, part practical venture, and entirely my passion project.

XDDhub Decoded: A Magic Cat, 😛 Emoji, and Internet Serendipity
My online alias “小叮当” (Xiaodingdang) comes from the mischievous magic cartoon cat in Asian pop culture, shortens to XDD – coincidentally matching the internet slang “XDD” representing a laughing, tongue-out emoji (😛). This serendipitous wordplay birthed XDDhub.com, where I’ll share:
- Life observations as a tech veteran turned family man
- Practical guides from two decades of web experience
- Curated interesting finds across the digital landscape
- Occasional products that align with our values
Whether you’re here for insights, tools, or just digital nostalgia, I hope XDDhub becomes your rewarding pitstop in this vast internet journey.
